Lizzi Slivinski serves VETRO FiberMap as a Geo-Developer. Over the last year, she specifically leads the team as a principal developer for our new Fiber Manager feature set within the platform. Her work included designing Fiber Managers user experience and interface. Lizzi’s moved to Buffalo, NY in May of 2015 and has worked with VETRO ever since.
“VETRO FiberMap is an innovative platform that is evolving very quickly,” says Lizzi. “Unlike our competitors who have been presenting a similar solution for decades, our platform modernizes the workflow to meets the demands of ISP’s big and small with a price that all can afford.”
Originally a “cheesehead” from Green Bay, Wisconsin her background is in Geography. After graduating college, she accepted a seasonal position working for the National Parks Service in Lake Clark National Park. During that time, Lizzi lived at a bush town in Alaska where her role was to monitor salmon migrations. After returning to the lower 48, she pursued a permanent full-time position which eventually brought her to Buffalo working with us. “It was too hard finding a full time job looking at fish in the middle of winter,” Lizzi joked.
Lizzi holds dual undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Geography from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, as well as a Graduate Certificate in GIS.
In her spare time, Lizzi enjoys riding her bicycle around the city of Buffalo. She commutes year-round on her bicycle (even in the dead cold of winter). On the weekends, she can be found in enjoying the city’s large food and restaurant scene.
